The Life-Light was the real thing: Every person entering Life he brings into Light. He was in the world, the world was there through him, and yet the world didn’t even notice. He came to his own people, but they didn’t want him. But whoever did want him, who believed he was who he claimed and would do what he said, He made to be their true selves, their child-of-God selves. These are the God-begotten, not blood-begotten, not flesh-begotten, not sex-begotten. (John 1:9-13 MSG)
Though Christians be not kept altogether from falling, yet thay are kept from falling altogether. William Secker
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. though they stumble, they will never fail, for The Lord holds them by the hand. Psalms 37:23-24
Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your Savior, your guide? If He is, you don’t need to search any further for security.
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:10-20 NKJV)

Who is our mediator?
1 timothy ii 5-6
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,
Romans VIII, 26-28
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us[a] with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
James V 16-20
16 Confess your trespasses[a] to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.19 Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.
We no longer live under the laws of Moses but under Christ.
Why is there need for a new covenant?
Hebrews viii 7-13
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds[a] I will remember no more.”[b]
13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Do you live under this new covenant? If not, I hope that you will take time to study & learn about this new covenant of Grace through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Jeremiah VI, 16
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. (KJV)
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. (NKJV)
Is it plain?
A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray (NKJV)
If not in the perfect way receive more perfect instruction.
Acts XVIII, 26
So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. (NKJV)
During the months of April and May 2012, I began a new section entitled “Treasures” on my Faithfulnibbles blog. The purpose of this section was to share this wonderful old Bible that once belonged to Mrs. M. Baugh. I recall this sweet little woman and her love for the Lord. In my earlier entries from early 2012 you can find more about this Bible.
However, the well used, worn, Bible is filled with various pieces of ‘treasure’ that Mrs. Baugh had saved through the years. When I began my writings last year my intention had been to share these treasures with you. Today, I will pick up where I left off in May 2012. I hope that you will go back and read the prior postings and that you will enjoy the new ones as they appear in the days ahead.
Today I am thankful that I have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know ‘Bob’. Bob is a 67 yr old widower, we has had back surgery, 2 knee replacements and lives in an Assisted Living Center in a small, remote community. Bob is one of the most outgoing, giving men. Although faced with many challenges in his life, Bob volunteers every other weekend at a local museum, voluntarily preaches to a small congregation at little country church every Sunday and Wednesday (although he is not an ordained minister), and actively participates in the activities at the Assisted Living Center.
This morning I attended a Bible Study that Bob was leading on the 4th chapter of Acts. As he read the chapter, discussing each verse, his passion, knowledge and love of Jesus rang in the emotion of his words as he shared with us one of his favorite chapter of scripture. Not one note. His entire lesson was from his heart as he shared Luke’s words and the personal insights that God had laid on his own heart.
Bob, a humble, simple man who loves Jesus with all his heart and soul; a man who has found joy and peace in the challenges of his life; a man whose greatest desire is to serve Jesus and share the gospel in both word and deed — made an impression on my life today as he challenged me to be BOLD in my faith, to speak out in BOLDNESS and to share with others — Thanks to Bob, I will never ‘simply read’ Acts 4 and especially verse 12, again. Each time I read and study this scripture in the future I will remember Jesus’ servant, Bob, the sacrifice of the disciples and the gift of salvation offered only through Jesus.
Acts 4:12 “Salvation is found in no one else (but Jesus), for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Thank you Lord for crossing my path with Bob’s. May you bless Bob and may he continue to serve you all his days and may I serve you, too, with the passion and love exemplified so clearly by this simple man named Bob.
