Open Mindedness

Be open minded about everything in life, at risk of missing something vitally important. Not everything is obvious nor has immediate explanation.

I came across this quote this morning. I would add…

But don’t be so open minded that your brains fall out.

Have a blessed day walking with Jesus.

A “tumbledown shack ” or a “soaring cathedral “?

Lives of careless wrongdoing are tumbledown shacks;
          Holy living builds soaring cathedrals.

                                     Proverbs 14:11 MSG

The house of the wicked will be overthrown,
But the tent of the upright will flourish.

                                     Proverbs 14:11 NKJV

Comments :

As I meditated on this scripture this morning, I noted that most translations use stronger wording in the first half of this verse using words like “evil” or “wicked”.  I seemed to prefer the use of these stronger terms to describe a life without Jesus. Yet as I continued to pray over these words I began to see that even “careless wrongdoings” can bring destruction in our lives or in the lives of others. I began to wonder about the state of my “house ” and the state of our nation. Am I/Are we becoming a “tumbledown shack ” that can be easily overthrown?

Reading on, I was encouraged in my spiritual walk – a daily walk to live a holy, obedient life that is upright and honorable to the Christ I serve. My thoughts were drawn to terms like “flourish ” and “soaring cathedrals ” and God’s Peace enfolded me. There is hope! Hope for me. Hope for our nation. We can flourish! We can build “soaring cathedrals ” – cathedrals fit for the son or daughter of a King.

A “tumbledown shack ” or a “soaring cathedral “?

I choose a “soaring cathedral ” so will strive for holy living each day.

What will you choose?

Have a blessed day walking with Jesus.

This IS a Day the Lord has Made!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. PSALM 118 : 24

As we look forward to the moments of this day we can rejoice in whatever each moment brings our way for we are assured that whatever comes our way passed by God first so it must have come our way for great purpose.

Have a Blessed Day with The Lord.

Drunk on Wine or Filled with The Holy Spirit?

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

EPHESIANS 5 : 18 –20

May your day be filled with psalms, hymns, and spiritual. songs as you walk with Jesus today. If you know Jesus and walk with him then you have experienced the greatest blessing life has to offer.

Right Priorities

Right priorities and good time management demand an awareness that today is the only time with which we ever have to work. The past is irretrievably gone, and the future is only a possibility.
