Mrs. Baugh’s Bible — Treasure 3

This beautiful old King James Bible, tattered and torn, filled with wonderful clippings, quotes and writings. I look forward to sharing all of them with you over the next few days, and maybe weeks.

Tucked snuggled between the pages of Exodus 12 were yellowed clippings of the following quotes:

Tradition says that the golden Palomino horse, an ancient breed, came from the Lost Kingdom of Atlantis, and was found by Phoenician navigators on the Portuguese Islands.

There is an old English proverb: “Live amongst nightingales and you will sing; live amongst wolves and you will howl.”

“The nearer I approach the end.” said Victor Hugo, “the plainer I hear around me the immortal symphonies of the worlds which invite me.”
