Mrs. Baugh’s Bible Treasure 5 – Bible Answers – Part 6 – PRAYER

Well it has been several days since I posted some of the Treasure I found in Mrs. Baugh‘s Bible. Continuing with the small Bible Answers flyer, the next section is tltled PRAYER.

PRAYER

Philippians IV,6.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

******

Colossians iv, 2.

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;

******

1 Thessalonians v:17.

pray without ceasing

******

1 timothy 2:1-8

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,  2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ andnot lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

8 I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

******

james 1:3-15.

3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

The Perspective of Rich and Poor

9 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.

Loving God Under Trials

12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

  1. Thank you for leaving this as a post tonight. My heart has flipped and flopped today and without prayer their is nothing. I learn I carry my bible everywhere. Now I need to read it every time I stop. Bless the children and families or graduates this month. May all know the grace of our Father. Thank you for the reminder.
